Thursday night, Nationals slugger Bryce Harper was named the 2015 NL Most Valuable Player, as expected. He won the award unanimously. Harper played the entire season at 22 and turned 23 last month, by the way.

After the MVP announcement, Harper appeared on ESPN's SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt. During the interview, Harper was asked whether he'd rather rather be bald like Van Pelt, or never hit double digit home runs again. His answer:

Wait ... what's a "meh-may?" Oh, Harper means a meme, internet jargon for ongoing viral photos and videos and whatnot. "Crying Jordan" is a meme, for example.

Anyway, meme is pronounced "meem." It rhymes with seam, like on a baseball. Ironically, Harper said he didn't want to answer Van Pelt's question "because I know how many memes are going to be out there." Now he created an even bigger meme.

Poor Bryce. Good thing he can fall back on being a transcendent talent sent to us from the baseball gods for the sole purpose of terrorizing opposing pitchers.

Obligatory joke: That's a clown pronunciation, bro. Oh, and by the way, I'd rather be bald than never hit double digit homers again. No question.
