Cardinals option Michael Blazek to Triple-A

The Cardinals optioned pitcher Michael Blazek to Triple-A Memphis Thursday.

Blazek has made 11 appearances for the Cardinals, giving up eight earned runs in 10 1/3 innings while striking out 10 and walking 10. He returns to a 2.77 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 27:16 K:BB ratio in 26 innings with Memphis.
