Blue Jays outfielder Colby Rasmus underwent a CT scan after taking a warm-up throw to the face in the first inning of Friday's game against the Red Sox, but the team does not yet have the results of the scan, MLB.com reports.
"He's in getting a CT scan right now, we'll see what happens," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said. "It got him right in the eye."
Rasmus wasn't looking when outfielder Anthony Gose threw him the ball during warm-ups and it struck him in the left eye. Rasmus, who homered in four straight games after returning from a strained oblique on Sept. 13, has hit .276/.338/.501 with 22 home runs and 66 RBI in 417 at-bats.
