Erick Aybar still absent from lineup

Angels shortstop Erick Aybar was absent from the team's starting lineup for a third straight day Friday while dealing with a heel injury sustained Tuesday.

Aybar, who has hit .321/.333/.393 in 31 plate appearances this season, took batting practice before the game. MLB.com reported he felt pain in his right side but still intended to run and take grounders before the game.
