Giants general manager Brian Sabean pretty much put an end to the trade rumors swirling around starting pitcher Tim Lincecum Thursday, by telling reporters he expects Lincecum to finish the season in San Francisco. For his part, Lincecum was relieved to hear that.

"That's good," Lincecum told the San Francisco Chronicle Thursday. "I try not to think about it. It's actually kind of easy not to right now (because) of the All-Star break. It's not a concern on my mind, especially when I hear something like that to kind of knock down any would-be rumors."

Lincecum threw a no-hitter in his most recent start, but still has a 5-9 record and 4.26 ERA on the season. His next start is scheduled for Monday against the Reds, and it looks like he is not expected to be moved at the trade deadline. Lincecum is a free agent at the end of the season.
