Marlins starting pitcher Jacob Turner cruised through the first five innings of his start against the Dodgers Thursday, but fell apart late in a 7-1 loss.

Turner opened the game with five shutout innings, but was run out of the game after recording the first out of the sixth. Five Dodgers reached in a row before Turner was pulled from the game, and all five came around to score, though only four were charged to him.

Turner was charged with the four run on eight hits and a walk, while striking out just two batters. He was pulled from the game after throwing just 73 pitches, as he fell to 0-1 on the season.

Turner now has a 6.75 ERA in four starts, having allowed 16 runs on 30 hits in 21 1/2 innings of work. He will try to get on track in his next start, set for Sunday at San Francisco.
