Royals outfielder Lorenzo Cain returned to the lineup for the first time since Saturday in his team's 7-2 win over the Twins Thursday, going 1 for 2 with three walks and two runs. It was the 14th time in his past 15 games in which Cain picked up at least one hit.

Cain, who has dealt with a groin injury this week, has hit .260/.325/.367 with four home runs, 38 RBI and 12 stolen bases in 319 at-bats.
