Matt Weiters will try to throw Friday

Orioles catcher Matt Wieters has not picked up a baseball and thrown it since early May due to an elbow injury, but he will try to do so for the first time in the next few days.

MLB.com reported Wednesday Wieters will try to throw Friday for the first time.
