Mets second baseman Daniel Murphy underwent an MRI on Friday, which revealed a pulled hamstring. He will be shut down from all baseball activities for at least a week, according to Newsday.

Murphy is hitting .235 through 17 Grapefruit League at-bats. Danny Muno and Matt Reynolds are candidates to take his spot if he is unable to play on Opening Day.
