Mets' David Wright ends rehab assignment due to continued shoulder pain
Wright had played in three games
It was just last week when New York Mets third baseman David Wright began a rehab assignment. Unfortunately, it's been put to an end.
Wright ended his rehab assignment on Monday after just three games due to shoulder pain, according to the team. Wright has missed the entire season to date while dealing with a shoulder impingement. Here's the full release:

As you can see, the Mets also announced Yoenis Cespedes will miss the rest of the season. That, comparatively, seems like minor news, however.
Wright went 1 for 10 with five strikeouts in his three games. He served as DH once and played the other two games at third. It seems highly unlikely that he'll play again this season.
