Mike Napoli gets rare day off

Red Sox first baseman Mike Napoli was held out of the starting lineup for just the third time in 65 games Monday against the Rays, replaced by Mike Carp. Since hitting a grand slam June 1, Napoli is batting .208 (5 for 24) with three RBI and six walks in his last seven games.
