Rays' Ryan Brett swinging bat again in rehab

Rays second baseman Ryan Brett is making progress in his return from a partially dislocated left shoulder. 

Brett is on the 15-day disabled list. He's begun fielding and throwing. He's also hitting off of soft toss and swinging off a tee, as he builds up strength in the shoulder. 

Brett told MLB.com that he's close to resuming full baseball activities, and after that, he'll start appearing in extended spring games.
