Thunder guard Russell Westbrook was hit with his 16th technical foul of the season Sunday in Indiana and, as a result, could be suspended for Monday's contest against the Blazers, per The Oklahoman.
NBA rules require a player to sit out one game after a 16th technical, but Thunder coach Scott Brooks believes the call will be overturned.
"I'm pretty confident this one will be rescinded," Brooks said. "That's not my decision, but I feel confident about it."
The Thunder will enter the final week of the regular season tied with the Pelicans for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Westbrook scored a career-high 54 points in the Thunder loss on Sunday.
