    The Knicks traded Bates-Diop (shin) to the Timberwolves alongside Julius Randle (shoulder) and Donte DiVincenzo in a three-team deal that also sent DaQuan Jeffries to Charlotte, Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic reports. Bates-Diop was traded from the Nets to the Knicks earlier this offseason but will now return to Minnesota, where he started his NBA career in 2018-19.
