Grizzlies' Cedric Coward: Another double-double Monday
Coward finished with 16 points (6-12 FG, 4-4 3Pt), 11 rebounds, three assists and one steal across 31 minutes during Monday's 110-105 victory over the Jazz.
Coward recorded his second straight double-double, helping Memphis to its fourth straight victory to begin the season. After missing the second game of the campaign due to a wrist injury, Coward has put that behind him, playing some of the best basketball of his young career. In three appearances thus far, he has averaged 12.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.7 three-pointers, good enough for top 55 value in standard leagues.

Grizzlies' Cedric Coward: Double-doubles Sunday
Coward delivered 15 points (6-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt), 11 rebounds, two assists and a steal across 32 minutes in Sunday's 123-112 win over the Kings.
Coward recorded his first double-double of the season and posted another efficient performance while surpassing the 30-minute plateau for the first time in 2026-27. His efficient perimeter shooting also provided a boost, as he connected on three of five attempts from beyond the arc. It's still early in the season, but Coward's consistent playing time and rebounding production are encouraging for fantasy managers, although his scoring opportunities could fluctuate alongside Memphis' other offensive options.

Grizzlies' Cedric Coward: Available to play Sunday
Coward (wrist) is available for Sunday's game against the Kings.
Coward sat out Friday's 111-108 win over the Warriors with a left wrist sprain, but he's back and available after a one-game absence. He started his lone appearance this season, tallying seven points, seven rebounds, two assists and a block in 28 minutes.

Grizzlies' Cedric Coward: Questionable for Sunday
Coward (wrist) is questionable for Sunday's game in Sacramento.
Coward sat out Friday's 111-108 win over the Warriors due to the wrist issue, which resulted in GG Jackson drawing the start, and Jerami Grant saw a minor bump in minutes. It will likely be more of the same if Coward gets ruled out again.

Grizzlies' Cedric Coward: Won't play Friday
Coward (wrist) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Warriors.
Coward will miss Friday's contest due to a left wrist sprain, and his next chance to suit up will come Sunday against Sacramento. With the 23-year-old swingman sidelined, Jerami Grant, Scotty Pippen, Cam Spencer and GG Jackson are all candidates for a bump in minutes.

Grizzlies' Cedric Coward: Doubtful for Friday
Coward is doubtful for Friday's game against the Warriors due to a left wrist sprain.
Coward is expected to miss Friday's contest after posting seven points, seven rebounds, two assists and one block across 28 minutes in Wednesday's season-opening win over Utah. If he's ultimately ruled out, Jerami Grant, Cam Spencer and Scotty Pippen would all be candidates to see increased playing time.

Grizzlies' Cedric Coward: Solid on glass in win
Coward chipped in seven points (3-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt), seven rebounds, two assists and one block across 28 minutes during Wednesday's 123-103 win over the Jazz.
Coward didn't need to shoulder much of the scoring load with Ty Jerome dominating offensively, but the second-year wing made an impact on the glass and finished with a plus-23 rating. His 28-minute workload suggests he'll remain an important part of Memphis' young rotation, though his scoring opportunities could fluctuate depending on the team's other offensive options.

Grizzlies' Cedric Coward: Team option picked up
The Grizzlies exercised their third-year team option on Coward's contract Tuesday.
Coward is now officially under contract for the 2027-28 campaign after averaging 13.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 25.8 minutes per game across 62 regular-season appearances (47 starts) in his rookie season. The 23-year-old swingman will likely begin the 2026-27 season in the Grizzlies' starting five when they host the Jazz on Wednesday.

Grizzlies' Cedric Coward: Decent line in preseason finale
Coward amassed 13 points (5-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, four assists and two steals in 26 minutes during Friday's 117-98 preseason win over the Hornets.
Coward delivered his best preseason performance after failing to reach double figures in his previous three outings. An excellent fantasy breakout candidate, the second-year wing should be in Memphis' first unit when the regular season tips off.

Grizzlies' Cedric Coward: Stuffs stat sheet in preseason victory
Coward recorded nine points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one steal across 18 minutes in Monday's 132-123 preseason win over the Hawks.
Coward drew the start and contributed across the board despite attempting only six shots. The wing's four assists were particularly encouraging, and he ranked tied for second among Memphis players in both rebounds and assists. Coward has generated plenty of fantasy interest heading into the campaign, and his ability to contribute without requiring significant offensive volume gives him multiple avenues toward fantasy relevance. He's in the mix to open the 2026-27 regular season in a starting role, and a solid showing in preseason will boost his case to crack the first unit.

Grizzlies' Cedric Coward: In mix to start
Coward appears to be in the mix for a starting role entering the preseason, Damichael Cole of The Commercial Appeal reports.
Memphis experimented with several lineup combinations during training camp, with Coward, Jaylen Wells and Jerami Grant among the team's options on the wing. Coward and Wells have already logged significant minutes together, and the second-year wing's ability to fit alongside multiple backcourt combinations could help his chances of securing a prominent role.

Grizzlies' Cedric Coward: Posts 19 points in SL loss
Coward finished with 19 points (6-10 FG, 5-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, four assists and a block in 27 minutes during Sunday's Las Vegas Summer League championship loss to the Warriors.
Coward continued his strong play at Summer League on Sunday, matching Cameron Boozer with a team-high 19 points on impressive efficiency. Coward excelled from beyond the arc, connecting on each of his five three-point attempts. The 22-year-old pro will look to take a step forward in his second season after an impressive rookie campaign in which he averaged 13.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 25.8 minutes per contest across 62 appearances.

Grizzlies' Cedric Coward: Scores 28 points with full line
Coward racked up 28 points (9-19 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block over 28 minutes during Saturday's 101-90 Las Vegas Summer League win over the Rockets.
Coward was locked in on both ends of the floor, helping the Grizzlies punch their ticket to the Las Vegas Summer League Finals. He finished with a plus-10 rating and committed just one turnover in the convincing victory.

Grizzlies' Cedric Coward: Drops 23 points in win
Coward finished with 23 points (7-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one steal across 24 minutes in Thursday's 96-64 Summer League win over the Hawks.
Coward recorded a double-double in his first two appearances in the Las Vegas Summer League. Although he hasn't reached that mark since, he finished with 23 points Thursday, his highest-scoring performance during his time in Las Vegas. The 2025 No. 11 overall pick is coming off a quality 2025-26 campaign, averaging 13.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists over 25.8 minutes in 62 regular-season appearances. As long as Coward can stay healthy, he is expected to build on his production from last season in 2026-27.

Grizzlies' Cedric Coward: Rough shooting night Monday
Coward finished with 17 points (7-23 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 12 rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block across 27 minutes in Monday's 96-88 Summer League loss to Dallas.
Coward recorded his second consecutive double-double Monday. However, he continued to struggle shooting the ball and has now gone 3-for-14 from deep in his two Las Vegas Summer League appearances. Turnovers have also been an issue, with the 22-year-old committing eight during that span. Coward is expected to play a prominent role for the Grizzlies during the 2026-27 campaign, so his performances in Las Vegas likely won't affect him one way or another. Memphis plays again Tuesday versus the Warriors, though it wouldn't be surprising if Coward sat out to rest.
