Mavericks' Cooper Flagg: Sniffs triple-double vs. Denver
Flagg posted 33 points (14-21 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds, nine assists, a steal and a block across 40 minutes in Tuesday's 131-130 win over the Nuggets.
Flagg became just the second teenager to record this 33-9-9 stat line in NBA history, with the previous record-holder being Luka Doncic (leg). Flagg has been playing at a high level since the beginning of December, but his numbers have seen a sizable uptick lately, as he's hit 20 or more points in five of his last six appearances, and in seven of 10 appearances this month.

Mavericks' Cooper Flagg: Struggles from charity stripe
Flagg registered 16 points (5-11 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 5-10 FT), six rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block over 35 minutes during Dallas' 119-113 loss to New Orleans on Monday.
Flagg entered Monday's game shooting 82.8 percent from the free-throw line, but he was responsible for five of the Mavericks' 10 misses at the charity stripe, which proved to be costly in a close loss. His 16 points also broke a four-game streak of at least 20 points, but the No. 1 overall pick of the 2025 NBA Draft is still enjoying a strong rookie campaign. In nine games since Dec. 1, Flagg has averaged 23.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steals over 35.3 minutes per game.

Mavericks' Cooper Flagg: Nursing back injury
Flagg is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Pelicans due to a back contusion.
The No. 1 overall pick of the 2025 NBA Draft may have picked up the injury during the Mavericks' 121-114 loss to the 76ers on Saturday, when he played 37 minutes and finished with 24 points, four rebounds, three assists and one block. If Flagg is unable to play Monday, then Max Christie (illness), Klay Thompson (knee), Naji Marshall and Caleb Martin would be in line for larger roles.

Flagg registered 24 points (8-16 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 8-8 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one block across 37 minutes during Saturday's 121-114 loss to the 76ers.
Flagg has been playing really well of late, and he recently received praise from his teammate, Naji Marshall. "Coop is really amazing at basketball," Marshall said. "He's a dog on both ends of the floor. Every game somebody guards him with their best defender, and he just goes out and proves that he's the No. 1 pick and why he was the No. 1 pick. Pledge allegiance to the Flagg." Flagg has scored at least 20 points in four straight, and he'll look to make it five in a row Monday in New Orleans.

Flagg ended Wednesday's 118-108 victory over the Heat with 22 points (9-13 FG, 4-5 FT), six rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 31 minutes.

The rookie No. 1 overall pick is coming along nicely, averaging 18.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals in 34.2 minutes per contest while shooting 49.2 percent from the floor over his last 17 games.
