Bears RB Matt Forte was hoping to get a new contract from the team, but that's not in the cards.

Appearing on Chicago's 670 the Score, Forte said he spoke to GM Ryan Pace about his contract and was told that he's not getting an extension right now.

Forte is taking the bad news in stride. He told Pace, "I'm not angry or holding any grudges or anything," and said he has no plans to hold out.

Forte said he wouldn't be angry over his contract this season and would "gladly" play under his current deal, even if its not his first choice.
