Earl Thomas won't be ready for camp, might miss Seahawks' opener
Bad news in Seattle: Earl Thomas might not be ready to play in the first game of the season.

Remember when the Super Bowl ended and we found out that some members of the Seahawks' secondary were playing through pretty severe injuries? Well, one vital member of that secondary, safety Earl Thomas, apparently never fully recovered.
Now, there's a chance that Thomas will miss the Seahawks' season opener against the Rams on September 13.
And this is coming from Thomas himself, who spoke with ESPN's Ed Werder and revealed that he won't be ready for camp and he's not sure if he'll be ready to go by the time training camp wraps up.

Thomas originally separated his shoulder and tore his labrum during the Seahawks' win in the NFC Championship Game. But not wanting to miss the chance at potentially repeating as Super Bowl champions, Thomas played through the injuries and delayed his surgery until after the big game.
Thomas underwent surgery at the end of February.
If Thomas won't be ready to go at the beginning of the season, the Seahawks could be forced to play without their star safety against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers in the second week of the season. And if Thomas is out until October, he would miss three total games.
Thomas hasn't missed a game in his five years in the league.
