Mike Evans wants answers. The Buccaneers receiver is confused by his quarterback. Specifically, he's dumbfounded by the appearance of Jameis Winston's belly.

It's apparently gone, which prompted Evans to (jokingly) ask Winston, "What happened?"

"He lost a lot of weight. He slimmed out," Evans said Tuesday, per the Tampa Bay Times. "I was joking with him the other day. He took his shirt off, and I said 'Man, what happened to the belly?' He's got a six-pack like me. He's put in a tremendous amount of work and I think it's going to be a great year for him and this whole team."

Before we move on, let's recognize Evans' top-notch six-pack humblebrag. ... OK, let's move on.

Here's Winston before last year's combine, for reference:

One reason for Winston's weight loss? He worked with Tim Grover, Michael Jordan's ex-trainer, this offseason. According to the Tampa Bay Times, Grover told ESPN that Winston lost 18 pounds since January. For what it's worth, the Buccaneers' website has Winston listed at 231 pounds and, just earlier this month, Winston said he was "230 (pounds) -- slim." So, in terms of the actual numbers, who really knows?

The good news, regardless of the exact number, is that Winston is following up an impressive rookie season (more than 4,000 passing yards and 22 touchdowns) by showing commitment in his first full NFL offseason. In addition to his weight loss, Winston has been working on improving his chemistry with Evans.

Hopefully Evans' belly joke didn't set them back too far in that endeavor.

Jameis Winston and Mike Evans will look to build off an encouraging first year together. (USATSI)
