Wide receiver Anthony Miller was traded from the Chicago Bears to the Houston Texans last month, and he is embracing the chance for a fresh start. There were highs and lows during his three seasons with the Bears, and Miller opened up about the situation with reporters during a Friday press conference.

"On both ends, we felt like it was best for the team," Miller said, via Aaron Wilson. "I had some tension with the coaches, tension with upstairs, but they want me to succeed and I hope they have a great season. We broke it off with no bad blood."

Rumors popped up several times this offseason that Miller was involved in trade talks, but it took months for anything to actually come to fruition. Miller proved to be a versatile offensive weapon in Chicago, but also recorded some lowlights with the Bears. He was ejected twice for fighting in games, including in his last game as a Bear in the wild-card loss to the New Orleans Saints.

"Of course, I regret that," Miller said, revisiting his ejection against New Orleans, via Wilson. "I let that guy get under my skin to the point that I put hands on him. I'm approaching everything very professional. This is important year, a contract year."

Miller was drafted by the Bears in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of Memphis. The First Team All-AAC player burst onto the NFL scene, catching a team-high seven touchdowns for the Bears in his rookie season. Over the last two seasons, however, Miller has caught just four combined touchdowns. In 47 career games, he has caught 134 passes for 1,564 yards and 11 touchdowns.

While the Texans aren't expected to be competing for a Lombardi Trophy this season, there's reason to be excited if you're Miller. Houston's wide receiving corps is not seen as one of the more elite groups in the league, so Miller has a chance to become one of the lead guys on an offense that will likely be throwing the ball a good amount in 2021.
