It was an easy night to be a punter in New Orleans. In the Saints 44-23 win over the Packers on Sunday, the two teams combined for zero punts in the game, marking only the third time in NFL history there's been no punts in a game.

Not punting is practically a part of Tim Masthay's job description at this point. The Packers punter was also involved in another no punt game this season. The Packers-Bears game in Week 4 also featured no punts, meaning Masthay is the only punter in NFL history to go two games in one season without punting.

In those two games, the Packers have paid Masthay just over $100,000 total to not punt.

Saints punter Thomas Morstead didn't get to launch a punt either, but he's kind of used to that at this point. Morstead has only punted 19 times this season, which is the lowest number for any punter that's played the entire season.

Besides the two no punt games this season, the only other time a no punt game has happened during the regular season came in Week 2 of 1992 when the Bills beat the 49ers 34-31.

There was also a no punt game in January 2004 when Peyton Manning and the Colts beat the Chiefs 38-31 in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.

As for Morstead and Masthay's, at least one person seems disappointed they didn't get on the field.
