Chiefs' Stefen Wisniewski: Signs to active roster
Wisniewski was promoted to the Chiefs' active roster from the practice squad Saturday, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
The 31-year-old was elevated from the practice squad as an extra player for Kansas City earlier in December, but he's now earned a longer-term spot on the roster. Wisniewski will provide depth on the interior of the offensive line for the Chiefs.

The Chiefs elevated Wisniewski (pectoral) to the active roster Saturday.
Wisniewski began the year with Pittsburgh and started the season opener, but he suffered a pectoral injury that landed him on IR. He was eventually waived. The longtime Chief is back home, and he'll add depth on the offensive line as the team looks to defend its title.

Stefen Wisniewski: Heads to waivers
The Steelers waived Wisniewski (pectoral) on Saturday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.
Wisniewski was injured in the season opener and landed on injured reserve. He was just activated earlier this week, but he appears to still be bothered by the injury. Nevertheless, he'll be able to sign with another team once he's fully healthy.

Wisniewski (chest) returned to practice with the team Wednesday, Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Wisniewski suffered the chest injury in Week 1's win over the Giants, and now that he's returned to practice, the team will have 21 days to active him off injured reserve. If the Penn State product is healthy enough for a return, he'll likely assume his usual starting role at left guard.
