Patriots' James Ferentz: Lifted from COVID list
Ferentz was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Phil Perry of NBC Sports Boston reports.
Ferentz returned to practice Wednesday and will play in Sunday's game versus the Bills. He started one game before landing on the COVID-19 list, but with David Andrews (thumb) back in the fold, Ferentz likely will return to a backup center role.

James Ferentz: Waived by Denver
Ferentz was waived Wednesday by the Broncos, Nicki Jhabvala of The Denver Post reports.
Ferentz signed a one-year free-agent tender with the Broncos in April, but was let go Wednesday in order to make room on the roster for newly-signed draft picks De'Angelo Henderson and Chad Kelly. The center has spent his career in a backup role, and will presumably look to continue doing so elsewhere.
