Jefferson accumulated eight tackles (four solo) during the Chargers' 34-17 win over the Cowboys on Sunday.
Jefferson ended up leading the Chargers with a season-high eight tackles during Sunday's victory. Across the four games since the Chargers' Week 12 bye, the veteran safety has accumulated 21 tackles (14 solo) and three pass defenses (two interceptions). Jefferson will look to add to his tackling total against the Texans on Saturday.

Jefferson recorded five tackles (five solo) and an interception during Monday's 22-19 win versus the Eagles.
Jefferson recorded an interception for the second straight game in Week 14, this time catching a red-zone pass that was tipped up by 2024 fifth-rounder Cam Hart to clinch a Chargers win in overtime. Chargers' Tony Jefferson: Cleared to suit up in Week 10
Jefferson (hamstring) does not have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup versus the Steelers, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
Jefferson hurt his hamstring against the Vikings in Week 8. After sitting out this past Sunday's win against the Titans, the veteran defensive back logged limited practice sessions Wednesday and Thursday before upgrading to full participation Friday this week. Jefferson is thus set to return to action Sunday.

Jefferson re-signed with the Chargers on a one-year deal Monday, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports.
The safety spent 2022 with the Giants, worked as a scouting intern with the Ravens in 2023 and came out of retirement to play for the Chargers last season, recording 27 tackles (17 solo) in eight regular-season games. Jefferson started four of those contests and the Chargers' only playoff game due to injuries in the secondary. In 2025, he projects as a depth safety behind Derwin James and Alohi Gilman.

Jefferson ended up playing 100 percent of the Chargers' defensive snaps this past Thursday due to Elijah Molden (knee) being inactive and backup free safety Marcus Maye suffering an ankle injury in the first quarter. Jefferson ended up finishing with the second-most tackles on the Chargers behind Daiyan Henley (10). Jefferson would be slated to start at free safety against the Patriots on Saturday if both Molden and Maye are unable to play.

Jefferson missed this past Sunday's loss to Kansas City, but he was able to log an LP/LP/FP practice progression this week. As such, he's in line to return to action Sunday.
