    Carolina released Erving on Tuesday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. Erving left the Panthers' preseason opener early with an ankle injury, but he appears to be healthy, as Carolina didn't cut him with an injury designation. If he clears waivers, the 2015 first-round pick will head to free agency.

  • Panthers' Cameron Erving: Re-ups with Carolina for 2023

    The Panthers re-signed Erving to a one-year contract Monday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. The 19th overall pick in the 2015 Draft, Erving is now 30 years old and on his fourth team. Next season will mark his third in Carolina. Erving will try to lock down the Panthers' swing tackle job this summer.
