The Eagles will waive Ajayi, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The move signals that the Eagles are poised to welcome Jordan Howard (shoulder) back to the field this week. Ajayi will now look to catch on with a team looking to add running back depth, such as the Seahawks.

Eagles' Jay Ajayi: DNP in Week 15
Ajayi did not play in Sunday's win over Washington.
The Eagles played 77 offensive snaps in the victory, and Ajayi wasn't on the field for one of them. Meanwhile, Miles Sanders and Boston Scott saw 55 and 35, respectively. It appears it will take an injury for the Boise State product to become relevant again.

Eagles' Jay Ajayi: Plays just five snaps in win
Ajayi rushed twice for five yards and couldn't haul in his only target in Monday night's 23-17 win over the Giants.
Ajayi got his first carry on the Eagles' third drive of the evening, late in the first quarter. His biggest contribution came in the second quarter, when he converted a third-and-1 for a first down, but he didn't touch the ball again. Instead, Boston Scott played the complementary role to Miles Sanders, seeing 39 snaps and having a huge game in the process. Things are only going to get more muddled for Ajayi when Jordan Howard (shoulder) returns.
