  • Broncos' Randy Gregory: Starts camp on PUP list

Gregory (shoulder) will begin training camp on Denver's active/PUP list, James Palmer of NFL Network reports. Apparently, Gregory still hasn't recovered fully from the surgery he underwent in March to mend an issue with his rotator cuff. There's still no concrete timetable for his return, but his absence from the first few days of camp may be precautionary with the aim to get him healthy before Week 1.

  • Broncos' Randy Gregory: Trending toward return

Gregory (shoulder) is still on track to return in time for training camp, Kyle Newman of The Denver Post reports. Gregory has yet to participate in Denver's offseason program as he is still rehabbing from an arthroscopic procedure undergone in March to address a rotator cuff issue in his shoulder. The former Cowboy defensive end, who signed a five-year, $70 million deal with Denver in March, should return to action by late July when the team's training camp begins.

  • Broncos' Randy Gregory: Had shoulder scoped

Gregory recently underwent an arthroscopic procedure to address a rotator cuff issue in his shoulder, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports. The report notes that the Broncos' splashy free-agent signee will spend the team's offseason program rehabbing his shoulder, with the expectation being that the pass rusher will be ready for the start of the coming season. Per Klis, while there were non-surgical options considered, the defensive lineman and the team determined that getting his shoulder scoped offered Gregory the best chance of getting through the 2022 campaign minus the sort of discomfort he played through at times last year while with Dallas. Gregory is also coming off left knee surgery undergone in late January.

  • Broncos' Randy Gregory: Now slated to join Broncos

Gregory (knee), who was reportedly in line to re-sign with the Cowboys, has agreed to a five-year, $70 million deal with the Broncos, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Per Mike Klis of 9News Denver, Gregory's contract includes $28 million guaranteed. Evidently the defensive end's looming agreement with Dallas hit a snag and the 29-year-old is instead in line to head to Denver, where he'll bolster his new team's pass rush. In 12 games with the Cowboys last season, Gregory recorded 19 tackles, six sacks and three forced fumbles.

Gregory (knee) signed a five-year, $70 million contract with the Cowboys on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The two transactions combine to keep the Cowboys' key pass-rush core intact. Coming off a season in which he tied his career-high mark with six sacks through 12 appearances, Gregory's focus will now turn toward recovering from left knee surgery undergone late January. He appears on track for the start of offseason workouts.

  • Cowboys' Randy Gregory: Priority re-signing for Dallas

Gregory's (knee) agent has already met with Cowboys owner/GM Jerry Jones this offseason, David Helman of DallasCowboys.com reports. Jones mentioned Wednesday that he has talked with Gregory's agent in Mobile during Senior Bowl week, and he was optimistic the pass rusher would be re-signed. "Knowing our time together and some of the pluses and some of the times that we've had to work through and some of the not-so-fun things, that will serve us well," Jones said. Gregory played in 12 games in 2021 and tied his career high with six sacks while also recording his first career interception, and while he underwent knee surgery a couple weeks ago, he's expected to be ready to go when offseason workouts begin.

  • Cowboys' Randy Gregory: Racks up first two sacks

Gregory recorded three tackles, including two sacks, and four QB hits in Sunday's win over the Panthers. After quiet showings in Weeks 1 and 3 (only one total tackle) sandwiched around a COVID-19 absence, Gregory led the charge Sunday for a Cowboys pass rush that produced five sacks and 11 hits on Sam Darnold. The Dallas defense as a whole has looked much improved through the first month of the season, but Gregory still has a ways to go to be considered a viable IDP option heading into a Week 5 clash with the Giants.

The issue doesn't seem to be serious, giving Gregory a chance to suit up for the Cowboys' third preseason game against the Texans on Aug. 21.

Gregory recorded six tackles (three solo) including 1.5 sacks, while adding one pass defended and another tackle for a loss in Sunday's win over the Eagles.
