Broncos' Adam Trautman: Catchless in blowout loss
Trautman failed to secure either of his two targets in Sunday's 70-20 loss to the Dolphins.
Despite playing a healthy 87 percent of Denver's offensive snaps, Trautman was a complete non-factor in the Broncos' passing attack Sunday. The lack of involvement is surprising considering the pass-heavy game script Denver saw itself in while trailing the Dolphins in a blowout throughout the game. With Greg Dulcich (hamstring) on injured reserve and not eligible to return until Week 6, Trautman should continue to lead Broncos' tight ends in snaps. Trautman has a good chance to be more involved Week 4, as the Broncos are set to visit the Bears and their porous defense.

Broncos' Adam Trautman: Held catchless in loss
Trautman failed to secure his only target in Sunday's 35-33 loss to the Commanders.
Trautman was a complete non-factor Sunday, failing to record a catch after securing all five of his targets Week 1. The veteran tight end appeared to be set for a significant role with teammate Greg Dulcich (hamstring) sidelined, but Trautman was not a big part of Denver's offensive attack against Washington. With Dulcich on IR for at least three more games, Trautman should continue to see the majority of snaps at tight end. Trautman's offensive snap percentage increased from 72 percent Week 1 to 82 percent Week 2. With this trend likely sustaining, Trautman will look to have a bounce-back performance when the Broncos visit the Dolphins in Week 3.

Broncos' Adam Trautman: Poised for prominent role
Trautman will likely be relied upon as a receiving threat even more with Greg Dulcich (hamstring) sidelined for multiple weeks, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
The 26-year-old figures to be the unquestioned primary tight end while Dulcich recovers from a hamstring suffered in Sunday's contest against the Raiders. Trautman already sat atop Denver's depth chart and saw the majority of tight end snaps in Week 1, getting 72 percent of the Broncos' offensive snaps while Dulcich saw a disappointing 33 percent snap share. Additionally, Trautman paced the Broncos in receptions Sunday, catching all five of his targets for 34 yards. The fourth-year veteran should continue to see the bulk of targets at tight end when the Broncos hosts the Commanders in Week 2, with Chris Manhertz likely to step into the No. 2 role.

Broncos' Adam Trautman: Solid pass-catching role in loss
Trautman brought in all five targets for 34 yards in the Broncos' 17-16 loss to the Raiders on Sunday.
Trautman ended up pacing the Broncos in receptions on the afternoon, although he averaged just 6.8 yards per reception. A 2020 draft pick of current Denver head coach Sean Payton in New Orleans, Trautman came into Sunday with just 60 career catches over his first three seasons. However, if his Week 1 numbers are any indication, he could be in for a more prominent pass-catching role in his new digs, even with the presence of position mate Greg Dulcich (leg).
