The Bills agreed to trade Bates to the Bears on Monday in exchange for a fifth-round pick, Chris Brown of the Bills Radio Network reports.
The trade will not become official until March 13 pending Bates' physical. The 27-year-old suited up for all 17 games in 2023 as a reserve guard. He will now look to take advantage of his new opportunity in Chicago.
