  • Texans' Grayland Arnold: Heads to IR

Arnold (quadriceps) was placed on the Texans' injured reserve Thursday. Arnold suffered a quad injury in Sunday's loss to the Titans and was ruled out ahead of Thursday's game against the Eagles. Now, the 25-year-old will be forced to sit out until at least Week 13 while on Houston's IR. Arnold logged one tackle while exclusively playing on special teams over five games this season, so his absence won't affect the team's defense moving forward.

His absence shouldn't be a huge factor for the Texans, as he's primarily served on special teams through the first eight weeks of the campaign.

Based on his level of participation at midweek, chances are looking strong that the Baylor product will be available for a Week 16 road trip to Cowboys Stadium. If Arnold suits up for the intradivisional matchup against Dallas, his involvement will likely be limited to special-teams duties.
