The Bears claimed Roy off waivers from the Panthers on Tuesday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Roy was waived Monday, likely due to the Panthers' switch to a 3-4 scheme under new defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero. The 2020 sixth-round pick was a solid rotational player during his three seasons in Carolina and figures to compete for a depth spot in Chicago.

Panthers' Bravvion Roy: Starting in Week 12
Roy is in line to start at defensive tackle Sunday against the Broncos with Matt Ioannidis (calf) ruled out, Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports.
This weekend's matchup versus Denver will account for Roy's second straight start with Ioannidis sidelined due to a calf injury. The 26-year-old played 71 percent of Carolina's defensive snaps a week ago and amassed one tackle and his first career interception.
