Jets' Thomas Hennessy: Inks $4.4 million extension
Hennessy signed a four-year, $4.4 million contract extension with the Jets on Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Hennessy has been a dependable long snapper for the Jets, so the team is locking him up to a deal that includes $1.15 million guaranteed and a $625,000 signing bonus. This deal will take him through the 2023 season.

Jets' Thomas Hennessy: Cleared for Sunday
Hennessy (concussion) is absent from the Jets' final injury report ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Saints.
Hennessy was knocked out of last week's 23-0 loss to the Broncos after suffering a concussion. He was subsequently limited in practice throughout the week, but it appears he has cleared the concussion protocol. He will presumably resume his role as a depth offensive lineman for the club.

The long snapper suffered a concussion Sunday against the Broncos and will need to pass protocol testing before he can take the field again. Tight end Eric Tomlinson took over long snapping duties against the Broncos, but the Jets may look to sign another long snapper before the contest if Hennessy cannot play.
