  • Mike Harley: Let go by Miami

Harley was waived by the Dolphins on Tuesday. Harley was unable to earn a depth role in Miami's talented receiving corps after signing with the team early in training camp. The 26-year-old was an undrafted rookie in 2022 before spending time with the Browns, yet he failed to make it on to an active roster while in Cleveland. Harley will now hope to catch on with another team ahead of the 2024 season.

  • Dolphins' Mike Harley: Finds new opportunity

Harley signed a contract with the Dolphins on Wednesday, Omar Kelly of The Miami Herald reports. Harley has spent time with the Browns since going undrafted in 2022, but he has yet to find his way to the active roster on gameday other than in the preseason. The 26-year-old will now work to earn a depth role in Miami.

  • Mike Harley: Waived by Cleveland

Harley was waived by the Browns on Tuesday, Christopher Dellecese of Cleveland 19 News reports. The wide receiver made three preseason catches, including a touchdown, in two games but was unable to advance up the Cleveland depth chart after spending 2022 on the practice squad. The second-year pro will now become a free agent.

  • Browns' Mike Harley: Hauls in TD

Harley caught one of three targets for 20 yards and a touchdown in Friday's preseason game against Washington. All of Harley's activity came in the fourth quarter, which gives an indication of where he's at on the wideout depth chart. The Browns are dealing with injuries at wideout, including projected starter Elijah Moore, who sustained a rib injury Friday, which boosts Harley's chances of sticking with the team. At this point, his main competition is David Bell, Jaelon Darden (leg), Jakeem Grant, Anthony Schwartz and Austin Watkins.

  • Browns' Mike Harley: Two catches in HOF Game

Harley (head) caught two of four targets for 18 yards in Thursday's 21-16 preseason win over the Jets. Harley suited up for 39 snaps, which suggests he has fully recovered after being placed in concussion protocol in July. He spent the 2022 season on Cleveland's practice squad. Harley's chances of making the roster may have gotten a slight boost with the news that fellow wide receiver Daylen Baldwin (hamstring) is expected to miss significant time, but Harley remains a long shot to make the team.

  • Browns' Mike Harley: In concussion protocol

Harley hasn't practiced since Thursday after leaving camp early and has been in concussion protocol, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports. Harley spent time on Cleveland's practice squad after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent in 2022. The Miami product has yet to touch the field in the NFL, so once he's healthy, he'll most likely be competing for a depth role in the team's wide receiver room or even practice squad ahead of the coming season.

  • Mike Harley: Winds up on Browns' practice squad

Harley was signed to the Browns' practice squad Wednesday. The Browns were happy to see Harley clear waivers, as he enjoyed a strong camp as both a wide receiver and return man. The 24-year-old Harley could be elevated to the main roster later in the season if Cleveland's in need of depth on offense or a spark on special teams.

  • Mike Harley: Cut by Cleveland

The Browns will waive Harley on Tuesday, Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports. Harley impressed during training camp when several receivers went down with injuries, and he was used as a returner during preseason action. The Browns would be very interested in adding him to the practice squad, if Harley clears waivers. His dismissal suggests sixth-round draft pick Michael Woods (hamstring) will make the team and possibly be ready to go for Week 1 against Carolina. The Browns also have hybrid running back/receiver Demetric Felton to fill out the depth chart at wideout.

  • Browns' Mike Harley: Returns to practice

Harley (ankle) was back at practice Tuesday after leaving the previous day's session early, Anthony Poisal of the Browns' official site reports. Harley walked off the field Monday accompanied by team training staff, but the absence was a short one. As a testament to the ankle being fine, during Tuesday's session, Harley made a nice leaping catch over cornerback Parnell Motley, but the receiver's feet landed out of bounds. He's in a battle for the fifth wideout job, as the Browns prepare for two days of joint practice with Eagles leading up to Sunday's preseason matchup between the two teams.

  • Browns' Mike Harley: Suffers ankle injury

Harley walked off the practice field Monday accompanied by a trainer due to an ankle injury, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports. Harley made inroads during training camp due to injuries to several wideouts but now finds himself on the sideline. The undrafted rookie played 30 snaps and was not targeted in the Browns' preseason opener against the Jaguars last Friday.
