  • Buccaneers' Mohamed Kamara: Reverts to IR

Kamara (knee) reverted to the Buccaneers' injured-reserve list Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Kamara suffered a sprained left knee in the Buccaneers' preseason finale against the Jaguars last Friday. The linebacker was promptly waived with an injury designation and cleared waivers. Kamara will now spend the entirety of the 2026 regular season on IR unless he is waived with an injury settlement.

  • Buccaneers' Mohamed Kamara: Has knee sprain

Kamara (knee) will undergo an MRI on Saturday to determine the severity of his injury, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports. Kamara suffered a knee injury during Friday's preseason finale against the Jaguars. Once the MRI comes back, the team will likely make a decision on whether or not Kamara will have a shot to return this season, or if he will be placed on season-ending injured reserve.

  • Dolphins' Mohamed Kamara: Round 5 pick for Miami

The Dolphins selected Kamara in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 158th overall. Miami has made a point to bolster its pass rush in the draft, as it also used the 21st overall pick on Chop Robinson out of Penn State. Kamara doesn't come with the same pedigree, but he does possess an impressive college resume that includes 45.5 tackles for loss and 30.5 sacks across 49 games. His fall came as a result of his underwhelming measurables, as he lacks the ideal height, weight and wingspan. That could limit his snap count throughout his career, but it wouldn't be surprising to see Kamara emerge as a player capable of making explosive plays with limited opportunity.
