    The Vikings placed Samac (knee) on injured reserve Saturday, Craig Peters of the team's official site reports. Samac appeared on the Vikings' injury report during Week 3 prep with a new knee injury. The backup center's issue must be significant, as he was promptly moved to IR. Samac will need to miss at least four games on IR before becoming eligible to return to the Vikings' active roster.
