  • Curtis Jacobs: Let go by New England

    The Patriots waived Jacobs (concussion) on Friday. Jacobs was claimed off waivers by New England last August, and he suited up for nine regular-season games with the team in 2024. The 23-year-old linebacker mostly contributed on special teams until a concussion forced him to shift to IR. Now healthy, Jacobs will search for a chance to prove himself in a depth capacity with a new squad.

  • Patriots' Curtis Jacobs: Designated to return from IR

    The Patriots designated Jacobs (concussion) for return from injured reserve Tuesday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. Jacobs was placed on injured reserve in mid-November due to the concussion he suffered in a Week 11 loss to the Rams. His practice participation this week will indicate his availability for Saturday's game against the Chargers. Jacobs has mostly played on special teams and has accumulated four tackles (two solo) across nine appearances on the season.

    The Patriots placed Jacobs (head) on injured reserve Tuesday, Jacobs injured his head in Sunday's 28-22 loss to the Rams and was down on the field for several minutes. He was claimed off waivers from Kansas City on Aug. 28 and went on to play in nine games, including two starts for New England. The 22-year-old will now focus on returning to full health and preparing for the 2025 campaign.
