Andrew Whitworth: Retiring from football
Whitworth announced his retirement from the NFL on Tuesday, Kevin Modesti of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
Whitworth goes out on top after winning a Super Bowl in his 16th and final season. A two-time All-Pro and a four-time Pro Bowler, Whitworth made 164 starts in 11 seasons for the Bengals and 71 more in five years with the Rams. The 40-year-old seemingly has a good chance to be named to the Hall of Fame later this decade when he's eligible for enshrinement.

Rams' Andrew Whitworth: Yet to decide on future
Whitworth said Wednesday that he's staying active, but he's still a few weeks away from deciding whether he'll retire or continue playing in 2022, Andrew Siciliano of NFL Network reports.
Whitworth suffered a knee injury during the Rams' wild-card win over Arizona and was subsequently sidelined for their divisional-round victory over Tampa Bay. However, the 40-year-old returned to his usual starting spot at left tackle for the final two games of the season, including the Rams' Super Bowl win over the Bengals.
