Davis logged 20 defensive snaps during Saturday's preseason game against the Dolphins.
Davis didn't get himself in the stat sheet, but he at least seems to be moving around well after undergoing offseason shoulder surgery. The 2015 third-rounder seems like a safe bet to make the roster in Baltimore and is entering the 2018 campaign with a rotational role Brandon Williams and Brent Urban.
Davis underwent offseason shoulder surgery and hopes to be ready for the start of training camp, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports.
The former Iowa Hawkeye had his most productive professional season in 2017, but he did battle a shoulder issue down the stretch that ultimately required surgery once the campaign ended. Davis suffered the injury in Week 15 against Cleveland and although he was active for the final two games, his snap counts were scaled back dramatically. He finished the year with 19 total tackles and 0.5 sacks over 15 games. Davis enters a pivotal year in his young career as the former third-rounder has yet to truly live up to his draft position, so if the shoulder rehab lingers into training camp, it could put him behind the curve.
Davis (shoulder) is listed as active for Saturday's contest against the Colts.
Davis injured his shoulder in last week's win over the Browns, but has apparently recovered enough to suit up Saturday. Should he ultimately suffer some type of setback, look for Willie Henry to fill in at defensive tackle.
Davis may be unavailable for Saturday's game against the Colts due to a shoulder injury, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Davis suffered the unspecified injury in the second quarter of Sunday's win over the Browns, and was able to play only 10 of 64 defensive snaps as a result. Head coach John Harbaugh said that injured reserve is currently not a consideration for the defensive tackle, but did indicate the 25-year-old had a real possibility of sitting out Week 16.
