Moore (neck) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.
Moore's neck injury popped up prior to Sunday's tilt against the Cowboys, and the issue is severe enough to keep him sidelined for the remainder of the 2018 season. The undrafted rookie's campaign will come to an end with four tackles in nine games.
Moore was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Cowboys with a neck injury, Zak Keefer of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Moore was added to the injury report as a limited participant Thursday with the neck issue, and apparently saw no improvement Friday. Najee Goode and Zaire Franklin are both depth options at middle linebacker behind starter Anthony Walker.
This will be Moore's second time on the active roster this season after being activated, sent to waivers and finding his way back to the practice squad. Moore has 32 snaps on defense and 19 snaps on special teams over four games this season while recording two solo tackles.
Moore was waived by the Colts on Saturday, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.
Moore was waived in order for the Colts to add more depth to their defensive line. If he does not get claimed off waivers there is a good chance he will revert to the team's practice squad.
Moore was promoted to the active roster alongside cornerback Lenzy Pipkins. With Darius Leonard (ankle) considered questionable for Thursday's game against the Patriots, Moore serves as a depth option to shore up the team's linebacker corps.
