Senators' Casey Bailey: Returns to AHL
Bailey was demoted to AHL Binghamton on Saturday.
While he didn't find the scoresheet in the last two games, Bailey gave onlookers a sneak peek of his two-way acumen by hoisting six shots and four blocked shots over 9:56 of average ice time facing the Devils and Hurricanes, respectively. Still, this Ottawa team was shut out by Carolina, so GM Pierre Dorion has switched things up by sending Bailey and Max McCormick down in favor of Philip Varone and Michael Blunden -- it'll be important to find the right combination on the wings with Mike Hoffman (lower body), Bobby Ryan (finger) and Mark Stone (neck) all injured.

Senators' Casey Bailey: Working on checking line Tuesday
Bailey is slotted with veterans Chris Neil and Tommy Wingels on the fourth line for Tuesday's game against the Devils, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Citizen reports.
Bailey will bang with the checking line against New Jersey and he isn't likely to see a ton of minutes as a result. Steer clear of him for fantasy purposes unless he is able to make a splash and carve out a larger role for himself with Mike Hoffman (groin), Bobby Ryan (finger) and Mark Stone (neck) nursing injuries.

Senators' Casey Bailey: Promoted to parent club
Bailey was recalled from AHL Binghamton on Monday.
Ottawa has been hard hit as Mark Stone (head), Tommy Wingels (finger), and Mike Hoffman (lower body) all dealing with injuries. The team are traveling to face New Jersey on Tuesday, which means Bailey could not only provide some important depth, but could be in the lineup depending on the nature and severity of the Sens' injured players.

Bailey was reassigned to AHL Binghamton on Wednesday.
The B-Sens have a road game on schedule against the Phantoms on Wednesday night, and Bailey's reportedly on track to be in the lineup for that one. His assignment to the minors could also be a sign that Mike Hoffman (illness) will be ready to go in Thursday's game against the Flames, though that has yet to be confirmed by the big club.

The Alaskan has ideal size at 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds, so he's naturally unleashed some howitzers over time, but it's a bit concerning that he's posted a minus-14 rating in 33 AHL games this season. Fantasy owners can safely pass him by, as the Senators had the requisite number of forwards even before his call-up, indicating that he's no lock to play in Thursday's game against the Blue Jackets. He's a mere insurance policy at this juncture.

Bailey was called up from AHL Binghamton on Wednesday.
Bailey's recall comes as an insurance policy after Zack Smith left Tuesday's matchup with an upper-body injury. The 25-year-old leads Binghamton with nine goals and five helpers, but he also has a minus-11 rating. If he suits up Thursday, Bailey will be looking to record his second NHL point; he scored a goal with the Leafs in the 2014-15 campaign.

Bailey's ascension to the parent club was necessitated by star winger Mike Hoffman serving a suspension. Though he went undrafted, Bailey, an Alaska native, has shown promise with the Baby Senators. He's picked up 35 points (16 goals, 19 assists) in 55 games with Ottawa's top affiliate since the start of the 2015-16 campaign. He becomes the 13th forward on the active roster ahead of Saturday night's contest against the Devils.

Bailey inked a one-year, two-way contract with the Senators on Friday.
Bailey came over from Toronto in the Dion Phaneuf trade and did not make an appearance with Ottawa. However, the 24-year-old showed decent skill in 30 games with AHL Binghamton, recording seven goals and 14 helpers. The undrafted center will look to earn a shot with the Sens.

Bailey was recalled by the Leafs on Tuesday, Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reports.
The move is reportedly a cap-related maneuver rather than a hockey decision, as the Maple Leafs' coaching staff were impressed with Froese's play during his recent two-game stint with the club. Froese is expected to be recalled by Toronto ahead of Friday's tilt against the Rangers, so Bailey will likely only be with the team until they can determine which injured players they would like to place on long-term injured reserve to free up cap space.
