Jazz's Keyonte George: Strikes for 22 points in loss
George tallied 22 points (7-12 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 4-7 FT), five assists, three rebounds and one steal across 29 minutes in Wednesday's 123-103 loss to the Grizzlies.
George delivered an efficient shooting performance from beyond the arc, though it wasn't enough to help the Jazz secure a win in their regular-season opener. The 22-year-old point guard also led Utah in assists, finishing as the only Utah player to dish out more than three dimes. George is coming off a career year in 2025-26, and he should remain one of the team's top offensive options despite the addition of Darryn Peterson.

Jazz's Keyonte George: Solid marks in preseason win
George closed with 13 points (5-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three steals, two rebounds and one assist across 16 minutes in Monday's 119-109 preseason win over the Spurs.
George fared well in his limited action, finishing as one of seven Jazz players to score in double figures. After failing to record a steal in his first two preseason appearances, the 22-year-old made his presence felt defensively with three swipes Monday. George will look to take another step forward during the 2026-27 campaign after breaking out with averages of 23.6 points, 6.1 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals across 54 games last season.

George produced 15 points (5-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds and three assists over 21 minutes in Sunday's 109-97 preseason win over the Nuggets.
George briefly exited the game after getting whacked in the face, but he returned a short while later and didn't seem any worse for the wear. George will look to take another step forward in Year 4 after breaking out with averages of 23.6 points, 6.1 assists, 2.5 triples and 1.1 steals per game last season.

Jazz's Keyonte George: Agrees to massive extension
George and the Jazz agreed to a five-year, $157.5 million contract extension Friday, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
The writing was on the wall for this move a long time ago, as there was a lot of mutual interest to get this done quickly. George averaged 23.6 points, 6.1 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 33.1 minutes per contest during the 2025-26 regular season, and moving forward he'll get to play alongside No. 2 overall pick Darryn Peterson in a new-look backcourt.

Jazz's Keyonte George: New backcourt partner coming
The Jazz selected Darryn Peterson with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, adding another high-level creator to their backcourt that already includes George (hamstring).
George remains an important piece of Utah's rebuilding effort, but Peterson's arrival could reduce his on-ball responsibilities after he served as one of the team's primary playmakers last season. The additional talent should improve the quality of George's opportunities, though his fantasy value may become more dependent on efficiency than volume. The Jazz are also projected to be much more competitive in 2026-27, bolstering their late-season outlook.
