AJ McCarron says he's going on vacation with Johnny Manziel
AJ McCarron tells USA Today that he and Johnny Manziel are "either going to Key West or Cancun" for what will surely be the most talked-about random summer vacation in college football history.

It's probably a good thing -- and for Alabama's AJ McCarron and Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel, definitely a good thing -- that there's no National Enquirer-style tabloid devoted to covering college football.
That hypothetical publication would already have had a field day with Manziel's off-field adventures (heck, a handful of publications that do exist already have) and McCarron's highly visible relationship with swimsuit model Katherine Webb. So imagine the hyperventilating that would go on in the College Football Enquirer offices upon discovering that not only are the reigning Heisman Trophy winner and reigning national champion each planning a May vacation, not only are they planning on heading to photo-friendly sun-kissed beaches, but they're planning that vacation together.
McCarron told USA Today on Saturday that, despite the budding on-the-field rivalry between him and Johnny Football -- which could personally determine both this year's SEC West and even its Heisman race -- the two are close off-the-field friends and ready to take some collective time off.
“We’re either going to Key West or Cancun and will hang out with our other friends,” McCarron said. “Me and him, we don’t ever let [football] bother us. He’s a good friend of mine, and he’s a funny dude.”
McCarron referenced the trip in an April 18 Twitter conversation with Manziel as well:
@jmanziel2 always bro! But I'm ready for our trip in may. Hit u up with more Info. Be good bro

Plans always change, of course, and college student vacation plans change even more often than most. But, assuming this happens, expect something big on your neighborhood Instagram before next month is out.
