Offensive Player of the Week: TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin

TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin is starting to make a case as one of the most dominant individual players in college football. Kliff Kingsbury called him a "top three" Heisman candidate following a 433-yard, seven touchdown performance in TCU's 82-27 win against Texas Tech. It was the highest point total for a Big 12 conference game, the most yards of offense (785) in school history and Boykin's seven touchdown passes (to five different receivers) set a new school record as well. TCU entered the season with just a 6-12 record in conference play since joining the Big 12, but now the Frogs are the mix to compete for the league title. TCU faces West Virginia and Kansas State, the top two teams in the standings, in the next two weeks.

Defensive Player of the Week: Clemson linebacker Stephone Anthony

The Clemson defensive line, led by Vic Beasley and Grady Jarrett, gets a lot of attention and credit for the Tigers becoming one of the more respected defensive units in the country this season. They deserve it, but don't overlook Stephone Anthony. The athletic junior linebacker has been a contributor since setting foot on campus in 2011, and when the Tigers offense was sputtering against Syracuse he was the star to emerge. Anthony recorded six tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and intercepted a pass in the second half of an ugly 16-6 win. Clemson trailed 6-3 at halftime and turned the ball over four times, but Anthony and the Clemson defense allowed only 52 yards of offense in a second half shutout as the Tigers won their fifth straight.

Specialist of the Week: Ball State kicker Scott Secor

Secor converted on 5-of-7 field goal attempts in Ball State's 35-21 win against Akron, making kicks from 46, 20, 23, 37 and 26 yards. The senior not only tied a single-game school record with five field goals, but thanks to his recent workload -- four field goals in a win against Central Michigan last week -- Secor is now the nation's leader 21 made field goals on the season. Things were looking down for Ball State after five-straight losses, including one to FCS Indiana State, but the Cardinals have rallied with back-to-back wins against Central Michigan and Akron. There is very, very little room for error with a 3-5 record, but finishing .500 is not out of the question with a remaining schedule that includes Northern Illinois, UMass, Eastern Michigan and Bowling Green.

Freshman of the Week: West Virginia safety Dravon Henry

Many were cautious to jump on the Mountaineers bandwagon after the Baylor win, but seeing Dana Holgornsen's bunch dominate Oklahoma State on the road was validation enough to take West Virginia seriously in the Big 12 race. Dravon Henry recorded six tackles and picked off Daxx Garman twice, returning one interception for a touchdown, in the 27-10 win in Stillwater.

"Dravon [Henry] played well," Holgorsen said after the game. "To get two turnovers in a game, and one of them actually scored...it was like, 'Wow.' I didn't think I was going to see it again."

Henry was also named the 247Sports National True Freshman of the Week
