Bears' Tremaine Edmunds: Jumps on key fumble vs. Green Bay
Edmunds logged six tackles (one solo) and a fumble recovery during the Bears' 22-16 overtime win over the Packers on Saturday.
Nahshon Wright pried the football out of Josh Jacobs' hands midway through the third quarter, which Edmunds recovered to stop the Packers' red-zone drive in its tracks. Edmunds played in 67 of 72 defensive snaps (93.1 percent), which was an encouraging sign given that it was first game back from injured reserve. He reached the tackling century mark in each of his first seven seasons in the NFL, and he's up to 95 combined tackles through 11 regular-season games in 2025. Edmunds could reach that tackling milestone for an eighth straight year as soon as this Sunday against the 49ers.

Edmunds (groin) is listed as active for Saturday night's game against the Packers.
Edmunds was relegated to injured reserve in Week 12, and Saturday night's divisional clash will mark the linebacker's first start since he suffered the groin injury. The 27-year-old has logged 89 tackles (46 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and nine passes defensed for four interceptions through 10 games this season. The defensive captain's return will make an already formidable Bears defense even stronger as they battle to split the 2025 series with the Packers.

Edmunds has been sidelined since Week 12, but he logged two limited practices and a full session in preparation for Saturday's pivotal NFC North matchup. He'll still need to be officially activated from injured reserve to be able to return, though all signs point to him being on the field in Week 16.

Bears' Tremaine Edmunds: Questionable after full practice
Edmunds (groin) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Packers after practicing fully Thursday.
Edmunds' full participation Thursday bodes well for his chances of suiting up for Saturday's pivotal matchup, but the linebacker would first need to be added back to the roster from injured reserve in order to be eligible to play. His practice window to return from IR was opened Monday, and Edmunds subsequently put forth a pair of limited practices before upgrading to full participation Thursday.

Edmunds (groin) was a limited participant in Tuesday's walkthrough practice.
Edmunds missed the Bears' last four games due to a groin injury, but he was designated to return from IR on Monday and has progressed enough in his recovery to participate in practice, albeit in a limited capacity during Tuesday's walkthrough. He would need to be activated from IR in order to be available for Saturday's NFC North tilt against the Packers. D'Marco Jackson has started in each of the Bears' last four games, but he would likely revert to a rotational role on defense and contributor on special teams once Edmunds is cleared to return.
