Aguilar's contract was selected from Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday.

Aguilar made his major-league debut last weekend as a replacement player during the Angels' series in Toronto, and he went 2-for-11 with a double, two runs, two walks and six strikeouts over three games. He's slashed .280/.427/.517 with 15 homers, 55 runs, 48 RBI and 11 stolen bases over 88 games at Double-A Rocket City this season and should serve as outfield depth for the Angels now that active rosters have expanded to 28 players.
