Rivero (shoulder) hasn't been cleared to throw yet, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
The report runs contrary to a statement given by manager Brian Snitker a few weeks ago, but it appears Rivero is still dealing with soreness suffered in the Venezuelan Winter League. The Rule 5 draft pick has posted intriguing numbers in the minors over the past few seasons, including a 2.13 ERA and a 105:35 K:BB with Triple-A Iowa last year, though it seems he will begin 2017 recovering from the nagging ailment.
