Thielbar's $6 million mutual option for 2027 was declined on Monday.
Thielbar had an up-and-down 2026 campaign, posting a 4.86 ERA and 60:18 K:BB over 50 regular-season innings. The left-hander will turn 40 in January, but he should be able to land a big-league contract if he wants to continue his career.
