Johnny Field: Heads to indy ball

Field signed with the Kansas City Monarchs of the independent American Association on Tuesday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.

Field played in 84 major-league games for the Rays and Twins in 2018, hitting .222/.254/.403. If he impresses in independent ball, he could wind up back with an MLB organization in the future, but his chances of making a significant impact are slim.
