Marlins' Aneurys Zabala: Dropped from 40-man roster

Zabala was designated for assignment by the Marlins on Saturday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Zabala has made a pair of relief appearances for the Marlins this season, throwing 2.2 scoreless innings. He hasn't been nearly as good in the minors, posting a 10.43 ERA and 19:20 K:BB in 14.2 innings split between Triple-A Jacksonville and Double-A Pensacola.
