Reyes was designated for assignment by the Mets on Tuesday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

DJ Stewart has been selected from Triple-A Syracuse in a corresponding roster move. Reyes, 26, allowed five earned runs over 7.1 innings (six appearances) earlier this season with New York and has also struggled to a 6.97 ERA in 41.1 frames at Triple-A.
